We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Regional Manager HSSE EMEA (m/f/d) who will be responsible for health, occupational safety, security, and environmental protection in our region. In this role, you will act as the central point of contact for our teams and customers regarding HSSE matters and oversee the implementation of work instructions and safety guidelines. You will conduct audits, lead investigations, and generate detailed reports. Ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations pertaining to HSSE is also a key responsibility, as well as sharing best practices within the HSSE community. Your responsibilities will include:
- Serve as the central point of contact for the DBS and customer teams regarding HSSE matters.
- Implement and oversee the regional deployment of HSE and security work instructions and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain a management system that complies with the clients' EHS essentials and security requirements.
- Create comprehensive guidelines and task descriptions for HSSE training programs.
- Collaborate with regional managers to conduct audits at sites in accordance with the customer's global EHS essentials and security requirements.
- Lead investigations into safety, security, and behavioral incidents in the field, and generate detailed reports.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations pertaining to HSE and security across countries and regions.
- Share best practices within the regional and global HSSE community.
- Support the regional head and local/regional contract management teams on HSSE-related topics.
- Establish a monthly routine for HSSE audits and track actions in the observation and implementation lists based on the DBS QMS.
- Coordinate the preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
- Collect relevant statistics, maintain, and continuously improve HSSE dashboards.
- Coordinate and manage all client-specific Business Continuity Plans (BCPs).
- Coordinate and manage all client-specific Risk Assessments.
- Oversee and manage all HSSE projects within the region.
What we expect from you:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a similar HSSE role, preferably in a multinational organization.
- Knowledge of local and international HSE and security regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and the ability to apply them effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact and collaborate with diverse stakeholders at various levels of the organization and in different countries in EMEA
- Experience in conducting investigations and preparing detailed incident reports.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategies for improvement.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- User Experience in relevant software and tools for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
- Flexibility to travel frequently to different sites within the region as required
- Ideally, professional certifications in relevant areas such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) or similar.
- Familiarity with business continuity planning and risk assessment methodologies is an advantage.
