“Never be afraid of new challenges”
What fascinates you most about your work in IT&D in logistics?
We have a complex IT landscape which needs to be integrated and harmonized. Harmonization helps improve steering, makes for stronger governance, and is cost consciousness as well.
What is your professional background and what has your career journey been like?
I came from Mongolia to Germany to get an education almost twenty years ago. My career started as a SAP consultant in a major IT consultancy firm, where I gained wide ranging experiences worldwide. On the next exciting stops, I worked as a project and portfolio manager for biotechnology and retail companies. Then, three years ago, I joined DB Schenker as an IT project portfolio manager.
What was your biggest professional challenge and how did you overcome it?
I think the most challenging part was starting my journey abroad. After I graduated from high school, I came to Germany alone. In the end, it was worth it and today I am grateful to work in a great environment and company.
What aspect of your current job has surprised you the most or been the most unexpected?
The size of the IT and how various it is.
Why would you encourage women to take on a career in IT&D in logistics
I would highly recommend DB Schenker and find the processes quite interesting.
Thank you, Khaliu for being such an inspiration to all of us. It was a pleasure meeting you.
