• Ensure operational excellence by complying with a quality control system based on the company’s ISO 9001 certification.
• Use innovative ways, to offer competitive services, and to operate in a manner which increases customer loyalty, increases profitability and decreases operating costs.
• Maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned customers and Schenker’s overseas offices.
• Follow standard and customized SOP’s for customers as directed by Management.
• Meet or exceed “Key Performance Indicators” (KPI’s) set for her/his functions.
• Prepare and enter shipping related data into various computer systems in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure accurate and complete Profit- and Loss data is entered into Schenker’s computer systems in a timely manner for each shipment file.
• Handle booking/shipment requests, purchase order management and shipment tracking tasks as requested by customers.
• Prepare/handle shipping documentation and to arrange for customs clearances.
• Prepare freight quotations and freight invoices for customers and other Schenker offices (domestic and abroad) – and to ensure these quotations are prepared in a timely, accurate, competitive and professional manner.
• Pro-actively act on behalf of customers and to handle all customer service related requests and tasks in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
• Facilitate, support and coordinate the communication of customers with other departments and other Schenker offices (domestic and abroad).
• Assist in business implementation and problem solving processes by participating in joint sales calls.
Experience and Qualifications
• College degree or above
• 2 years of experience in a project logistics related companies
• Experience in quality management system such as ISO and COPC-2000 (preferred)
• Good command of English, spoken and written
• Conflict resolution and emergency handling skills
• Technical Skills (Telephone and Order Booking systems preferable)
• Communication skills - spoken and written
• Negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in using PC software (MS Windows)
• Knowledge of International Trade and relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedures
