- The lawyers shall analyze already signed customer contracts against a check-list of 42 contractual conditions.
- Detailed customer lists per Region/Cluster will be provided by CL, also with GlobeCon reference numbers for contract downloads
- CL foresees an employment of these 3 lawyers for at least one year (considering the huge amount of contracts – which is estimated to be around 1.200)
- Support: Support the Global Contract Logistics Commercial Excellence Team.
- Reviewing Contracts: Reviewing contractual agreements for goods, services, and partnerships to ensure they meet defined company standards and comply with legal regulations.
- Ensuring Compliance: Verifying that all contracts meet regulatory and legal standards, often in collaboration with legal teams.
- Risk Mitigation: Identifying potential risks in contracts and structuring agreements to protect the company’s interests.
- Contract Analysis and Reporting: Regularly analyze customer contract key clauses and register contents like liabilities, percentages and currency amounts as well as clause text in a standardized template.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborating with different departments to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on contract terms and conditions.
- Governance: Advise other DB Schenker CL Stakeholders regarding required written approvals according to SOP GE05, Appendix 07 and Directive OD01.
- Legal Background and general knowledge of Transportation Law; preferably practicing lawyer with minimum 5 years of experience
- Preferably with collected relevant work experience in a law firm or other 3PL, ideally with a background in reviewing contracts
- Must be fluent in English (every other language is a plus)
- Solid knowledge/background on commercials and CL operations
- Must demonstrate a high level of discretion, along with a quick perception and understanding
- Able to work best as part of a team with strong international collaborative skills
- Able to demonstrate the ability to transfer legal understanding into commercial outcomes
- Must have strong skills in stakeholder engagement and interface management
