Your tasks
Do you have experience in transportation planning and are sales minded? Do you want a new chal-lenge with a top 3 global player in logistics? We are currently expanding our team. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Transport Planner with a focus on sales activities to join our grow-ing organization in Mechelen.
The jobdescription
- You are responsible for the timely and profitable execution of the transports, you ensure an optimal load factor;
- According to additional or changing orders you correct the planning where necessary;
- You're purchasing and negotiating constantly in your day-to-day job with different carriers;
- You build up a network of preferred carriers to find the best solution for each transport;
- You're able to deal with both internal and external customers and suppliers;
- You will work closely with the Linehaul and Direct Operations Manager, contributing to a collaborative and efficient team environment.
- You are always busy to improve and understand that being the same as yesterday doesn't make the difference tomorrow.
Requirements
Your profile
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in international road transport within the EU (Road Brokerage/Direct Freight).
- Experience in non-EU EX/IM road lanes is an advantage (China, Central Asia, etc.).
- Proficiency in English (fluently); knowledge of any other European language is an advantage.
- Proactive and result-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on open com-munication.
- Ambitious and driven to contribute to the company's growth.
