Your tasks
Responsible for ensuring the timely review, induction, and assignment of transactional documents necessary to perform Customs services. Resolve all documentation related issues to expedite shipment processing. Utilize and update appropriate systems with necessary information to support shipment processing. Tasks & Responsibilities: * Organize and execute work following an established process to receive and audit receipt of shipment documents and notifications from various sources. * Validate account status (POA on file, credit check) and initiate account set-up. * Review commercial and shipping documents in order to organize specific identifiers and document types. Upload and index documents. * Utilize import systems to gather/validate, create shipment files, transfer data between systems and facilitate shipment payments when required. * Research, communicate and resolve missing documentation issues. * Review transportation files to assure compliance (ISF filed on ocean files). * Communicate information and instructions to/from vendors. * Research, communicate and resolve operational problems, utilizing system shipment notes to record actions. * Review and understand special shipment types (consolidated entry, carnets, section entries, etc.) taking special care to properly manage internal systems and compliance standards. * Other duties as assigned by management. Deliverables & Achievables: * Timely processing of all incoming documents based on estimated time of arrival. * Handling high volume at a fast pace with high degree of accuracy.
Requirements
Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills: * Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office Suite * General customs brokerage/logistics industry knowledge helpful. * Knowledge of general freight forwarding terms and standards. * Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task. * Good interpersonal skills We are an equal opportunity employer.
