The Sourcing Manager is responsible for managing the strategic/tactical procurement activities above the threshold of 50k €. This role focuses on executing sourcing activities including supplier identification, managing requests for quotes (RFQs), bid evaluation, contract negotiation, and contract awarding. The Tactical Sourcing Manager works closely with internal stakeholders to meet operational needs while optimizing costs, quality, and supplier performance. Tasks & Responsibilities: Sourcing Execution: *Execute end-to-end procurement processes, including supplier identification, request for proposal (RFP) development, bid evaluation, negotiations, purchase order placement, and full implementation of buying channel strategy. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Supplier Coordination: *Collaborate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing and terms, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Maintain effective communication channels with suppliers to address inquiries and manage relationships. Contract Management: *Conduct contract management activities, including contract creation, modifications, and renewals. Maintain contract documentation, track key milestones, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Supplier Relationship Management: *Foster positive relationships with suppliers through effective communication, collaboration, and issue resolution. Conduct regular supplier meetings, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement or value-added initiatives. Process Improvement: *Identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement within the procurement function. Propose and implement process enhancements to optimize procurement operations, streamline workflows, and increase efficiency; this applies to all activities in both the retained Procurement organization and the outsourcing scope of services. Data Analysis and Reporting: *Collect, analyze, and report procurement data to support decision-making, measure performance, and identify trends. Generate regular reports on key metrics, such as spend analysis, cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance. Stakeholder Collaboration: *Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Global and Regional Category Management, operations, Outsourcing provider and finance, to ensure alignment and effective execution of sourcing activities. Provide support and guidance to operational teams and businesses to establish and enhance efficient and lean order processes. In the case of a Team Lead role the following applies in addition: Team Leadership: * In case of a Team Lead Role: Lead and supervise a team of Sourcing Managers, providing guidance, coaching, people development, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
Requirements
Details/Specification/Explanation of the role specific skills: *University degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. *Proven experience of 5+ years in strategic/tactical procurement, preferably in Indirect Procurement. Key Competencies and Skills: *Skilled in handling various categories and demands, demonstrating flexibility and a solid understanding of their unique procurement aspects. *Solid understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract administration. *Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers. *Experienced in utilizing procurement tools, proficient in data analysis methods including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and demonstrates a strong willingness to embrace new technologies. *Attention to detail and accuracy in processing procurement transactions and maintaining records. *Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate meaningful insights. *Familiarity with relevant regulations, compliance standards, and ethical sourcing practices. *Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic work environment. *Problem-solving orientation and the ability to address challenges and make informed decisions. *Fluent in English.
