Diesel Technician All Levels (West Memphis)

To maintain company equipment in accordance with company standards, while maximizing utilization and uptime with a focus on company cost objectives. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES. * Capable of performing most major repairs with limited guidance or supervision. * Repair equipment in the most effective manner with a focus on quality and cost control. * Perform effective diagnostic routines that identifies root cause and determine best repair method. * Provide mentoring and training to less experienced technicians. * Conduct all repairs in a manner that emphasizes personal and coworker safety. * Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment. * Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience. * Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results. * Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS. * High School diploma or equivalent * Proficient in computer based maintenance systems * Vendor sponsored training in major vehicle components PREFERRED SKILLS. * Minimum five years of experience in Class 8 maintenance and repair WORKING CONDITIONS. This position will be required to work in a shop environment in which the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration, heat and cold, and increased levels of noise, and * Constantly positions oneself to operate, inspect, and move up to 60 pounds, * manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard on a daily basis, * detect, recognize and assess printed text and hand written documents, * be able to communicate and exchange accurate information.
