The department

Are you ready for the next step in your Schenker career? We offer the opportunity to apply for the position of DC Coordinator in the Eemshaven. In the position of DC Coordinator, you perform all occurring activities independently as adequately as possible and you support the management framework of the department by managing the process. In this position you report to the Data Center Team Leader or Supervisor of the department. Together you help take the department to a higher level. Main activities We expect the Data Center Coordinator to present himself or herself as a cooperative foreman. This means that you will spend about half of your time on (operational) managerial tasks such as motivating and supervising your colleagues.

• You act as a technical point of contact for employees and manage them operationally. You ensure that the agreed deadlines are met (productivity)
• In the absence of another DC Coordinator or Teamleader you can observe them.
• You are expected to point out possible deviations in the process to your colleagues. If necessary, you intervene and provide additional instruction or adjustment to your colleague.
• In addition, you can improvise to solve bottlenecks, you think about improvement points for the process, and you help to implement them.
• The rest of the time you are engaged in operational activities.

We ask

• You have at least MBO working and thinking level and knowledge of the logistics process
• You have leadership qualities such as a great sense of responsibility, you take initiative, you have a firm footing and dare to address others
• You work in a structured, planned, and accurate manner
• You are good with systems and well versed in numbers
• You are communicative and master the Dutch and English language in word and writing
